This year, our Pre-K through 2nd grade students will be bringing their favorite book characters to life with a fun Book Character in a Box family project instead of pumpkin decorating! 📖
📅 Due: Tuesday, October 27
🏆 The 3 most creative characters from EACH grade level will receive a prize!

Day of the Dead Family Altar Project Reminder
🕯️🌼 Day of the Dead Family Altar Project! 🌼🕯️
Our 3rd–5th grade Blue Jays are invited to celebrate Día de los Muertos by creating a special family altar to honor and remember a loved one, pet, or public figure who has passed away. 💙
📦 Project Guidelines:
🧡 Create your altar inside a cardboard box.
🌼 Decorate using materials and items from home.
🖼️ Include a picture, name, and years lived.
✏️ Write an acrostic poem using their name.
🍞 No real food! Use replicas of their favorite things.
✨ Be creative and make your altar resemble a traditional Día de los Muertos altar!
Let’s celebrate beautiful memories, family traditions, and the lives of those we hold dear! 💕🦋
